This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it’s used, how images are transmitted and handled, who we share data with, and how we protect information. The app is a utility tool designed to help users by analyzing photos of currency notes using a custom-trained AI model. It does not provide legally binding authentication and makes no legal claims or guarantees.
When you take a photo for currency authentication, the image is transmitted to our Cloud Run server (for inference) and the server returns a response to the app. Transmission uses encrypted network channels. Images are processed to produce the inference result. Images are not stored persistently on the device or server as part of normal inference workflows; they are only stored when you explicitly report an image (see below) or when retention is required by law.
If you report an image/result (for example to flag a suspected error), the reported image and minimal metadata may be retained for up to 30 days to allow investigation and—to the extent you consent or allowed by policy—possible use in retraining/improving the AI model. Reported images used for model improvement will be handled securely and anonymized when feasible. All reported images are automatically deleted after 30 days unless you request earlier deletion.
Non-identifying device information (device model, OS version, app version), crash logs, timestamps, and network status for diagnosis and product improvement.
Advertising/analytics SDKs used by the app may access advertising identifiers (AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*) and attribution/topics permissions for ad delivery and aggregate analytics. These identifiers are managed by the SDKs and device settings.
Images you capture and submit for analysis are transmitted to our server hosted on Google Cloud Run so our AI model can process them and return a result. All data sent between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS) to protect it from interception. The app requires an active internet connection to perform these inference requests; if your device is offline the inference feature will not work.
Images may be temporarily cached on the server for the duration of the inference request and short-term logs necessary for debugging. These temporary copies are deleted as part of normal server processes and are not retained for model training unless explicitly reported or otherwise noted.
Images are stored only if you file a report (click on the “Report” button in the dialogue box) or if retention is required by law. Stored reported images are retained for no more than 30 days and are then deleted automatically.
Stored/Reported images are auto deleted after expiration of 30 days period of storage. You can't manually request deletion of your reported images as we don't store personal information that would enable us to link the images to the users. Therefore, images stored are auto-deleted after the expiration of 30 days period.
The app uses automated AI to analyze currency images. The AI model has been trained on the Pakistani currency notes having denomination equal or greater than PKR 100. Although it might classify the lower denomination Pakistani currency notes into two real and fake categories, it is recommended to be used for denomination greater or equal to PKR 100/-. Results are probabilistic and can be incorrect. The app is a utility tool only and does not constitute legal proof or an official authentication. Always confirm with a qualified authority for legal or high-stakes matters. We do not accept liability for actions taken based on app results.
As this app is still in its early stages, performance may vary slightly across different devices. While we continue to expand testing and improve compatibility, some devices may occasionally deliver less accurate results. For example, we have noticed that certain Samsung A series models may show more frequent misclassifications. The app is intended to be used only within Pakistan. As the AI model is only trained on Pakistani currency notes, distribution of this app might be limited to Pakistan only. However, if requested, the app might be made available to users outside Pakistan, but testing the app on currency notes other than Pakistani currency notes equal or greater than denomination 100/- would not reflect correct results and therefore should be avoided.
The app is not intended for children under the applicable minimum age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
We may disclose information (including stored reported images) when required by law or to respond to legal processes, or to protect rights, property, or safety. The app’s use and data handling are subject to applicable laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy. When material changes occur, we’ll post the new Effective Date and users can view the updated policy here, when required.
